As a trend watcher and not 'buyer-into' I tend to observe them and base my style off what is OUT. In reality, trends are in and out as the seasons are, which is VERY fast and hard on the pockets. Sticking to some of your own choices will most DEF keep your selections going through to next fall. Now that the weather should be getting warmer, certain clothes can come out of hibernation and to be seen on the streets!

Keep it simple? But don't go overboard, its easy to do that when going for the 'laid-back-dads-shirt' look.
Hair: Messy, not to 'done'.
Jewelry: Chunk bracelets, and rings. Layered necklace.
Shirt: Not fitting, 1 to 2 sizes larger.
Shoes: Vintage looking, if not actually being. Simple and grungy.

People def underestimate siblings in the industry. Jessica and Ashley Simpson (BAD example.) But then people like Solange come along, with a different sound. Call her weird, but to me thats what pops about her. Shes different, and appeals to a whole other crowd than her sister does. She is certainly talented.
